It was very wintery here today!  What happened to spring?

And now Leonard Cohan is gone.  Instead of posting a Leonard Cohen video, let me post this one instead. 



We'll be missing both Leonard Cohen and Jeff Buckley now.

Lets not forget our friends in New Zealand and everywhere.  And let's all remember to practice random acts of kindness and senseless beauty.

If you need to keep an eye out for Santa this season, don't forget your friends at NORAD who have been tracking Santa's incursions in to US and Canadian air space since the 1950's. Maybe it was some sort of Cold War thing. Anyway, since the US is a world power, of course we track Santa all over the world now.

I stumbled across this last year while listening to public radio.  It's a pretty cool new, or maybe that should be new to me since the music is ten years old now, anyhow...  it's a cool set of songs for the holidays.  And it tells an old story in a very new way.  Here's the link

So, since my last DD I've been getting a slow stream of new watchers.  And by new watchers, I don't just mean new to me.  These are watchers who join DA and as one of their first actions, they watch me.  In fact, their first act is to watch at least five but sometimes as many as eight seemingly random people, and their recent activity shows all of those watches happening within the space of one minute or less.  Here is an example of what I mean, these new people watched five random people in the space of ten seconds to twenty seconds.  And that all they've done on DA so far.

 



These new watcher don't otherwise interact, they don't fave or comment and the rare times they do see kinda random.  I ran down the rabbit hole and checked some of the other accounts that these "new" users watched.  While those other watched accounts seemed normal, I found a bunch more similar "new" users with similar activity patterns watching those other normal accounts as well.

Is there a thing for new users that randomly sets five or so new watches for their account?  Or should I prepare for the zombie apocalypse and start wearing a tin foil hat.  (side note:  only fifty characters allowed in a journal title?).
